Welcome to Danceacise. We hope you find our website informative and interesting.
Danceacise was formed to break down the barriers and provide a solution to people of all ages and abilities, who want to learn and perfect the art of dance and exercise techniques.
The Danceacise Learning System
The innovative tools we have created will increase a persons natural progression, aid them to memorise the required steps, and enable them to perfect their movement with maximum precision.
The services provided by us can be broken down into 4 main areas;
1. Dance – Perfect the art of any dance style at your own pace.
2. Exercise – Techniques to safely keep fit and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
3. Education – Numbers, Colours, Alphabet and tell the Time whilst having fun.
4. Teach – Tool geared for the Dance, Fitness and Education world.
We have a number of partners including dancers, dance companies, choreographers, teachers, fitness instructors and gymnasts that work in direct collaboration with Danceacise to incorporate the Precision Mat within their daily routine and help teach others.
The Precision Mat® has been designed around abled, disabled and additional needs children and adults. Our studies have found that individuals are reluctant to enter into the world of dance and fitness mostly due to a lack of confidence. It is important to offer people a vehicle to enable them to realise that their aspirations can be achieved. A helping hand via our internet streaming tutorials and locally run classes, directing users exactly where their hands and feet should be placed, with colours and numbers to help and encourage them, is a giant leap, compared to the conventional way we learn to dance and exercise today.
We have created an innovative mat called the Precision Mat®. The Precision Mat® is easy to understand and consists of shapes, letters, numbers and colours that will aid any person to perfectly navigate and memorise the required dance and exercise movements. The precision points are a direct guidance for a person’s feet, hand and body placements.
One of the main drivers for the creation of Danceacise is to combat obesity through dance and exercise. For those who see exercise as a chore, including children and adults, the specially designed Danceacise tutorials are a perfect solution and a step in the right direction.
Obesity around the world
The number of overweight and obese adults in the developing world has almost quadrupled to around one billion since 1980, says a report from a UK think tank. It is recorded that 67% of men and 57% of women in the UK are overweight or obese according to the study which uses a Body Mass Index (BMI). Researchers found that overweight and obesity among children and adolescents is also a growing problem in the UK. The study found 26% of boys and 29% of girls were overweight or obese, compared to 17.5% and 21% in 1980.
Taking steps to tackle obesity is important because, in addition to causing obvious physical changes, it can lead to a number of serious and potentially life-threatening conditions, such as diabetes, heart disease, cancer, stroke, psychological problems and depression.
Tutorials for everyone
We are regularly filming ‘multi-lingual’ tutorials to accompany each Precision Mat®. Each tutorial has a specific focus on one of the diverse range of dance styles (Ballet, Street Dance, Bollywod, etc.) or exercise techniques (Fitness, Yoga, Gymnastics, Zumba, Tai Chi, etc.). We are also working with various organisations to incorporate our Precision Mat® into their existing local dance and fitness programmes. We are confident that this will encourage more and more people to join in.
Schools and Sports Centres
We are discussing putting programmes in place for schools, where use of the Precision Mat® for dance and exercise can become part of the syllabus. Children could learn at school then practice at home at their own pace. Sports Centres could adopt our programmes to encourage children and adults to be part of this important and fun experience. Following the specialised Danceacise tutorials and specially designed programmes, is a great way to build up your confidence at home, work and socially with your friends.
Dance and exercise can unite people from all walks of life no matter what their background. Our team have a passion to keep dance styles alive, whether maintaining the dance authenticity or simply creating new dance moves. Our team of fitness instructors will help people get involved in exercise through our specially designed fun and exhilarating programmes. Finally our education teachers will teach young children and additional needs adults, colours, numbers, letters and telling the time through exercise, whilst maintaining a healthy lifestyle. We are all focused to contribute towards maintaining the diverse range of dance & exercise styles, performed and practiced around the world.
Our library of Precision Mat® tutorials and exercise programmes, include specially designed programmes, geared towards people with disabilities and those that have additional needs. Our qualified teachers have put together dance and exercise programmes that will make learning fun whilst keeping fit.
As with all our tutorials, dance and exercise is taught by breaking down each movement into small achievable chunks. Movements are fully explained and demonstrated utilising the specially designed precision points on the Precision Mat® ensuring you have a helping hand every step of the way.
The Precision Mat comes in various sizes, choosing the right size for each person is based on your physical size and the dance or exercise style you want to perform. Safety is paramount, and Danceacise have ensured that all our tutorials and programmes have safety incorporated. We are working in collaboration with major safety organisations to ensure you are dancing and exercising in the safest possible way.
The Precision Mat® is a first for the world. There is no Precision Mat® available until today that teaches you how to dance and keep fit. There is no mat designed for experienced fitness instructors and choreographers that enable them to perfect their art and teach others. We have protected the worldwide rights and are now looking for organisations where it can be integrated into their existing programmes. It has never been seen before and the feedback we have had has been consistently excellent both from individuals and commercially.
Part of our plan to make more people exercise aware, we are always looking out for events where we can encourage people to jump on our Precision Mat® and be introduced to this wonderful new innovative tool that makes learning fun whether through dance or through a specially designed exercise programmes.
Whether you choose to dance or keep fit, our team of experts at Danceacise will help you every step of the way.
