In 1997 Clara and some friends created “Septieme SenS”, a dance collective which rapidly earned recognition in Paris and throughout France. She then spent 3 months in New York in 1999, where she attended intensive house and hip hop workshops delivered by the acclaimed Brian “Footwork” Green, Shannon “Which Way”, Shan S, Marjory…at the infamous Fazil and Broadway Dance Center.
In the States, Clara researched more about the cultural background and origins of the house and hip hop movement which fascinates her to this day!
Upon her return to Paris, she was invited to tour worldwide as part of a show called “The Art of Urban Dance” which featured Storm (one of the pioneers of b-boying in Europe). Thus, she performed in Europe, Asia and Middle East and discovered that HIP HOP has its place on a main stage just as much as any other forms of dance or art.
Since then, Clara has appeared in many productions, videos, took part in the most prestigious battles, danced alongside many famous French and international artists , dancers/choreographers and has become an active choreographer/dancer admired for her athletic abilities, versatility, originality and above all the passion that she is able to share and transmit through her performances and workshops.
She had her first taste of London in 2005 but it was a year later that she decided to settle there in order to fulfil her ambition: promote House dance, its ethos, values and its culture and develop it as one of the leading dance styles in the UK and ultimately Europe. To do so, in 2007 Clara founded “In Da House”, widely recognised as the pioneer company of House Dance in the UK, her own house dance project and despite focussing on house dance her real aim is to promote Dance as a whole and the passion it generates worldwide!
In August 2007, she became the new NIKE athlete in the U.K. In 2011, she was the first JUSTE DEBOUT UK preliminaries organiser.
In 2012, she was part of the professional dancers cast in the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games in London.
Since 2013 she became a House Dance technical teacher and lecturer at UEL (University of East London). In 2013, she went onto deliver lectures and practical teaching in ‘House dance’ at UEL (University of East London).
Clara also produces a new events such as ‘The New Kidz On The Block’, which was a dance competition honouring the new generation of dancers in the U.K & abroad.
